New York Knicks to Hold Basketball Clinic for Kids in Chelsea on Dec. 3

The sessions will be divided up by age groups and there are 75 slots available per session.

CHELSEA, NY — Kids in Chelsea will have a special opportunity to play with the New York Knicks on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Chelsea Recreation Center.

The clinic will provide kids between the ages of 6 and 14 with a "structured basketball learning experience that focuses on improving basketball skills while emphasizing offense, defense, shooting and game fundamentals," according to the Knicks.

The sessions will be divided up by age groups and there are 75 slots available per session. Kids ages 6-8 will get to play from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.; kids ages 9-11 will play from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and kids ages 12-14 will play from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Be sure to arrive early, however, as check-in will take place 15 minutes before each group is scheduled to begin. The Chelsea Recreation Center is located at 430 W. 25th St. between Ninth and Tenth avenues.

The program is a part of the Basketball in the Boroughs program and is a joint effort between the Knicks and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. For more information, click here.
