CHELSEA, NY — Tens of thousands of marchers are expected 2.5-mile stretch in Manhattan for Sunday's Pride march.

This year's annual Pride coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising and WorldPride, the global Pride event's first time in the U.S.

The march comes two days after the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, where riots at the Stonewall Inn in the West Village launched the modern LGBTQ rights movement.

Some 130,000 marchers and 129 floats are expected in the city's Pride march, NYPD's top cop said.

The WorldPride event will be rivaled by a dueling Queer Liberation March Sunday morning, that aims to keep out large corporations and police from the march itself to keep in line with the activist spirit of the march.
