Kitten Named Sage Stolen From Union Square Pet Store
The adoption center is offering a $1,000 reward to get the 12-week-old kitten back.
CHELSEA, NY — A kitten adoption center in Union Square is offering $1,000 reward after a tabby kitten was reportedly stolen from the store Friday afternoon.
Friday about 2 p.m. at the Petco store in Union Square removed the kitten, named Sage, from his cage at the store, NYPD spokeswoman Det. Denise Moroney said.
The man fled the store, and police have no description of him, Moroney said.

"We are offering a $1000 reward for the safe return of Sage," KittyKind, a non-profit that operates out of the Petco store in Union Square, said on Facebook. "NO QUESTIONS ASKED, just drop him off or leave him somewhere safe for us to find. We just want him back with his siblings."
As of Tuesday, the 12-week-old kitten was still missing.

The adoption center raised $476 in four days for the reward in a fundraiser on Facebook.
