Robber Steals Cash From Chelsea Bank, Police Say

The robber hasn't yet been arrested.

CHELSEA, NY — A bank robber took an unknown amount of cash from a Chelsea bank this month after he demanded money from a teller, police said.

Authorities are still looking for the man, who hasn't been arrested, after the Feb. 22 robbery.

Police said they man went to a Chase Bank in Chelsea, located at 475 W. 23rd St., at about 8:25 a.m. Once inside, the man approached a bank teller and demanded money, police said. The teller handed over an unknown amount of cash to the man, who then ran away on foot, according to authorities.

No weapons were shown during the robbery and no one was injured.

Police are searching for the man, who was last seen wearing glasses and a dark jacket.
