TADA! Youth Theater Hosts Spring Break Camps

When school is out, TADA! is in. Children, ages 4-14, can explore the world of acting, singing, and dancing during special Week-Long, 4-Day and 1-Day Camps held during Spring Break. TADA!’s specialty camps are held during school breaks and holidays. Spring Break camps will be held March 19-April 6.

Week-Long Camps are an exciting half-day camp for the smallest shining stars! Through creative musical play, young singers, actors, and dancers build beginning skills in musical theater. These camps will be held from 9:30am-12:00pm for children ages four and five years old.

During TADA!’s 4-Day Camps, participants can create and perform a mini-musical in just four days! Professional Teaching Artists direct scenes and musical numbers from original TADA! musicals, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. 4-Day Camps will be held from 9:00am-4:00pm for children ages 6-8, 6-11 and 9-14 years old. Early drop-off and late pick up is available.

1-Day Camps focus on core elements of musical theater including theater games, comedic improvisation, and dramatic play. Youngsters can master cool dance moves and sing their hearts out. Camps will be held from 9:00am-5:30pm for children, ages 6-11 years old. Early drop-off and late pick up is available.

Since 1984, TADA!’s mission is to provide young people from different backgrounds with musical theater programs that inspire them to be creative, learn, and think differently. A unique Drama Desk award-winning nonprofit youth theater, TADA! produces original musicals for children, teens, and family audiences. TADA! offers a free, year-round, pre-professional training and a positive youth development program for its Resident Youth Ensemble (ages 8-18); musical theater classes/camps for the public; as well as musical theater residencies in NYC schools and community centers. Through high-quality work, young people’s self-confidence and creativity are enhanced. They also develop advanced skills in leadership, communication, responsibility, collaboration, and problem-solving - skills that help with growing up and are essential to their success both in school and in life.
