Vote On What Neighborhood Project Speaker Corey Johnson Funds

Twelve neighborhood projects are on the ballot for city funding in Speaker Corey Johnson's district from March 30 through April 7.

CHELSEA, NY — Do you want more turnstiles at the 50th St. subway station? What about better lighting at New York City Housing Authority buildings' park areas? Or ADA-accessible bathrooms at the Hudson Park Library?

The City Council's participatory budgeting process gives District 3 residents the chance to vote on which neighborhood projects Speaker Corey Johnson will fund. About $1 million of projects will be funded based on residents' votes.

Residents of District 3, which stretches from the West Village through Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen, can vote starting Saturday through April 7. Kids at least 11-years-old are also eligible to vote.
