Bystander video shows two commuters jumping onto subway tracks at a Chelsea station to save someone who had fallen.

MANHATTAN, NY — Two brave commuters jumped onto Manhattan subway tracks on Wednesday afternoon to rescue a person who appeared to have fallen off the platform, according to bystander video captured by a NY1 producer.

The 20-second clip shows two people jumping down onto the tracks at the subway station at 14th Street and Eighth Avenue to rescue someone who was stuck on the train tracks. It is not clear from the video how the person came to be on the tracks.

The video shows the two good Samaritans jumping down on the train tracks to help the person, while other people on the subway platform call for help and pull the person up. All three people safely got off the tracks and onto the platform.
