2 Arrested At Commack 7-Eleven After 1 Pulls Gun: Police
Robert Sperduti, 22, of Huntington, and Robert Cano, 19, of Smithtown, were charged following a disturbance at a Commack 7-Eleven.

COMMACK, NY — Two men were arrested following a disturbance at a convenience store in Commack on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said. Robert Sperduti, 22, of Huntington, and Robert Cano, 19, of Smithtown, are facing weapon charges.
Fourth Precinct officers responded to a disturbance at 7-Eleven at 362 Veterans Memorial Highway around 9:45 p.m. Sperduti displayed a handgun to the cashier, police said. He tried to get away when officers arrived, but was caught shortly after, police said. Cano was apprehended after officers discovered he had Xanax without a prescription, police said. Following an investigation, officers determined Cano sold the gun to Sperduti, police said.
Sperduti was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing. Cano was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a firearm and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
