Commack 2019 Elections: Candidates, Polling Places, Hours

COMMACK, NY — Election Day is here. If you haven't already voted early, you may be getting ready to head to the polls.

In Suffolk County, voters will decide the Suffolk County Executive and Suffolk County Legislature. In the Town of Huntington, voters will elect two Town Council members, clerk and receiver of taxes, while in the Town of Smithtown, voters will elect two Town Council members and receiver of taxes.

Election day - Tuesday, Nov. 5

Time - 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Here's what you need to know for Election Day:

Suffolk County

Executive: Democratic incumbent Steven Bellone is facing Republican challenger John M. Kennedy Jr. and Libertarian challenger Gregory-John Fischer.

Legislative District 12: Republican incumbent Leslie A. Kennedy is facing Democratic challenger Margot Rosenthal.

Legislative District 13: Republican incumbent Robert Trotta is facing Democratic challenger Janet Singer.

Legislative District 16: Democratic incumbent Susan Berland is facing Republican challenger Hector Gavilla.

Town of Huntington

Huntington Town Council (2 seats open): Republican incumbent Eugene Cook and Democratic incumbent Joan Cergol are running against Republican challenger Andre Sorrentino, Democratic challenger Kathleen Cleary, Libertarian challenger Patrick Deegan Jr. and Green challenger Eleanor Putignano.

Town Clerk: Republican Andrew Raia and Democrat Simon Saks are running for the seat vacated by Republican incumbent Jo-Ann Raia.

Receiver of Taxes: Democrat incumbent Jillian A. Guthman is facing Republican challenger Stacy Colamussi.

Town of Smithtown

Smithtown Town Council (2 seats open): Republican incumbents Lisa Inzerillo and Thomas Lohmann are running against Democratic challenger Richard Guttman, Democratic challenger Richard Macellaro and Libertarian challenger Patricia A. Shirley.

Receiver of Taxes: Republican incumbent Deanna Varricchio is facing Democratic challenger Justin Smiloff.
