The 2014 Commack High School boys varsity soccer team will go down in history as state champions.
The Cougars defeated Fairport on Sunday afternoon 2-0 at Middletown High School to claim the Class AA title.
Junior midfielder Anthony Izzo scored both goals for Commack. Izzo had quite a weekend for the Cougars as he also scored the overtime game-winner against Shenendehowa in the state semifinal on Saturday.
