Commack Gastropub Shuts Its Doors

The local business announced its closure last week after 3 years in business.

COMMACK, NY - Bar Louie in Commack has officially closed down as of last week, an employee confirmed in a Facebook post.

"With sadness and shock I regretfully announce that Bar Louie in Commack is closing tomorrow, for good," employee Jackie May wrote on March 31. "I'm thankful for the friends I've made here, both staff and guests. I've grown personally and professionally and am thankful for my time with the company."

The gastropub, located on 2115 Jericho Turnpike, opened back in 2016 as the first Long Island Bar Louie.

May says all the Commack employees had the "opportunity to continue with the company."

There is a second Bar Louie on Long Island, which opened in 2017, in the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
