Commack High School Student Named National Merit Winner
Congratulations to Raphael Leon Iskra!

COMMACK, NY - A Commack High School student has been named National Merit Scholarship winner , according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Raphael Leon Iskra, of Commack, is among 2,500 finalists to receive a $2,500 Merit Scholarship award based on their abilities, skills and accomplishments, the NMSC announced Wednesday.
The winners were selected from a pool of 15,000 students.

The National Merit Scholarship Competition evaluates participants on their academic record, school's curricula and grading system, two SAT scores, school official's written recommendation, the finalist's extracurricular activities, leadership and personal essay.
