Commack Middle School Gets New Assistant Principal

Congratulations to Ali Glassman!

Ali Glassman recently began her role as the new Assistant Principal at Commack Middle School.

Her qualifications include coordinating a middle school advisory program, developing master scheduling, leading the professional development program for teachers and staff, and expertise in technology integration in the classroom.

Glassman comes to us from the Middle School in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District, where she taught Spanish and French, developed curriculum, and was the MAP Coordinator and Student Council Advisor.

She fills the position left by former assistant principal, Christina Sapienza, who left the District in July.

“I am extremely excited to become a part of the Commack School District and I look forward to the upcoming school year," she said.

Glassman received her undergraduate degree from SUNY Cortland and two Masters Degrees, one from SUNY Stony Brook and the second from the College of St. Rose.

She also holds Education Administration Certification in both School District and School Building Leadership.

Glassman lives in Huntington and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves anything outdoors and is an avid gym-goer and former collegiate gymnast.

“I am extremely excited to become a part of the Commack School District and I look forward to the upcoming school year," she said.

"We sought a dedicated, caring, passionate and creative individual who would become an integral member of the Commack Middle School Family; we have found that individual and more in Ms. Glassman,” Anthony Davidson, Principal of Commack Middle School, said.
