Commack Records 3rd Highest Snow Total On Long Island

The fourth nor'easter of the month took a while to get cranking, but once it did, it dumped a whole lot of snow on Long Island, including 16.7 inches in Commack, the third highest recorded on Long Island.

Here are some unofficial snow totals for local towns reported to the National Weather Service as of 5:24 a.m. Thursday. Note that measurements may have been taken hours apart and final totals will almost certainly rise.
