Commack Target To Shut Down Next Year: Report

The local Target is among 6 underperforming stores nationwide to close in February.

COMMACK, NY - A Long Island Target is among the six stores nationwide to shut down, according to a report in Newsday.

The Commack store, located on 4 Henry Street, is among several underperforming stores in five states across the U.S. in February, Newsday reports.

There is another Target located in Commack on 98 Veterans Memorial Highway.

In addition, there are at least 16 other stores for the popular department retailer chain.

The Commack closure will affect about 140 employees.
