What started off as a shining example of Community Giveback by an enterprising Mathnasium center owner at Converse, TX, about 3 years back, has now transformed into a movement. A community-driven movement adopted, embraced by a majority of the 1000 odd Mathnasium centers since then, with the active engagement and support of their PTA Leaders, teachers, parents in the communities they serve.
Mathnasium's Commack center kickstarted this Community GiveBack Initiative recently, where nearby schools (parents, students from Kings Park, Commack, Hauppauge, Dix Hills, Smithtown) voted to stock their teacher's fridge with healthy snack products, leading upto Valentine's day. 2 schools, with the maximum votes by Feb 12th 2020, got their teacher's fridge fully stocked by Mathnasium with healthy snacks (with about ~$450 worth of products totally). What a perfect way to show our Love for our teachers this Valentine's!
Since this initiative kickstarted in Commack, the response has been nothing short of overwhelming. What has been the most heartening to see has been the level of engagement and support of PTA leaders in various schools, Students, Parents, Teachers, Community members throughout this, without which none of this would have been possible. As it continues its journey until Feb 12th, this initiative is only getting more recognition, participation and a warmer embrace from all the parents and teachers in this Community.

"Why do this?", someone asked, "that too unconditionally, with no strings attached". Corporate explains that this began as a small way of saying a big "Thank you" to ALL the teachers, who give so much to us and our students every single day. All the centers since then, which decided to do this, replicating the first such initiative at Converse, TX, have remained steadfast to this core belief! Good Karma and the Right thing to do for all our wonderful teachers, who give so much to our children every single day.
