Crash Closes Jericho Turnpike In Commack
A car struck a pole and then overturned into a parking lot Saturday morning.

COMMACK, NY — A portion of Jericho Turnpike in Commack has been closed for hours following a crash Saturday morning.
Suffolk County Police Second Precinct officers responded to a crash outside 6333 Jericho Turnpike at 9:18 a.m. A car struck and severed a pole before overturning into a shopping center parking lot.
The driver of the vehicle was injured, but police did not have information on their condition.

As of 4 p.m., Jericho Turnpike is closed in both directions between Commack Road and Valmont Avenue.
The crash caused a few power outages in the area.
