Hour-By-Hour Long Island Snowstorm Forecast

Long Island will be under winter storm watch from 7 p.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday. A total of 4-6 inches of snow is expected to accumulate, according to the latest estimates from the National Weather Service.

There's about a 40 percent chance of more than four inches of snow and a 14 percent chance of more than six inches on the island.

The snow will arrive a day after the temperature tied a daily record high of 59 degrees at Long Island MacArthur Airport Friday.

Any snow that does accumulate should melt by early next week when temperatures are once again expected to challenge record highs.
