The Latest Long Island Thanksgiving Day Forecast

How's the weather looking for Turkey Day? We've got all the details.

Thanksgiving Day is shaping up to be pretty decent weather-wise on Long Island. There's a 30 percent chance of light rain, but the high temperature will be near 49, which may seem quite balmy following wind chills of as low as 25 degrees early Wednesday.

If you're traveling, wintry weather will expand from northern Pennsylvania and upstate New York on Wednesday night, into parts of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire on Thursday, according to AccuWeather.

"Those making a last minute trip early Thanksgiving morning may need to prepare for some slippery travel," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 45. Wind chill values between 25 and 35 early. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph.

Wednesday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 36. North wind 5 to 8 mph.

Thanksgiving Day: A 30 percent chance of light rain. Cloudy, with a high near 49. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of light rain, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph.

Friday: A chance of light rain before noon, then a chance of rain after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 51.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 49.
