Bristal residents meet World Series hero fifty years after greatest game ever pitched in World Series history

Residents of the Bristal Assisted Living Community shared a moment at a sports memorabilia show held at Last Licks in Huntington Station on February 8, 2006 with Yankee legends Yogi Berra (seated right) and Don Larsen(seated left), the journeyman pitcher who reached the heights of baseball glory when he threw the only perfect game in World Series history in 1956, against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Larsen died on New Year’s Day at the age of 90 after a long battle with esophageal cancer. ( Photo Credit: Nancy Epstein)
