Man Fires Rifle, Shotgun, Numerous Times In Commack: Police
Officers found 25 shell casings in the man's yard after 911 calls came in, police say.
COMMACK, NY — A man was arrested early Saturday after he fired a rifle and shotgun numerous times in Commack, Suffolk police said.
Several 911 calls reporting shots fired on Fulton Boulevard came in around 11 p.m. Friday, police said. Officers found numerous shell casings in the yard of a home on the road, and Mikhail Niyazov, the resident of the house, came outside, police said.
Niyazov was arrested at 12:47 a.m. following an investigation, police said.

Twenty-five shell casings were recovered from shots that were fired into the air and ground, and four weapons were removed from the home, police said. There were no injuries or damage to property reported, police said.
Niyazov, 58, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment.

He was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
