Man Steals Merchandise From 2 Suffolk Walmarts: Police

He stole five television sets and a hoverboard, police say. The man is wanted for grand larceny.

COMMACK, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police said stole merchandise from Commack and Islandia stores.

A man stole two 65-inch Samsung television sets and a hoverboard from Walmart, at 85 Crooked Hill Road in Commack, at 1:55 p.m. July 23, police said. The same man stole three 65-inch Samsung television sets from Walmart, located at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia, at 6:30 p.m. July 29, police said. The man appears to be in his mid-20s and driving a gray four-door Toyota Tundra pickup truck, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
