Man Ticketed When Using Phony Passenger In Suffolk HOV Lane: SCPD
The man attached a mask to his front passenger seat to give the impression he was driving with a passenger, police say.

COMMACK, NY — A ticket was issued to a man who used a mask to give the impression he had a passenger while driving in an HOV lane in Commack on Wednesday, Suffolk police said.
Justin Kunis, 20, of Lake Grove, was driving on the Long Island Expressway, just before the Sagtikos Parkway at exit 52, when Highway Patrol Officer Jonathan Abrams became suspicious of the front passenger of Kunis's 2017 Nissan sedan around 7:15 p.m., police said.
Abrams stopped Kunis and saw he had attached a drama mask to the front passenger headrest in an attempt to make it look like a passenger was in the vehicle, police said.
