Officials Cancel All Town of Huntington Evening Activities
Decision announced Thursday afternoon.

Thursday’s snowstorm and hazardous travel conditions have prompted officials to cancel all evening activities at Town of Huntington facilities for tonight.
Cancellations include the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting, traffic violations court and the annual Ethics Board public hearing. The Ethics Board hearing will be rescheduled.

There will be no afternoon public session at the Dix Hills Ice Rink, and evening ice rink charters are cancelled. Group skating lessons had previously been cancelled.

HART Bus paratransit will shut down once passengers have been returned home. Fixed route service is continuing to operate.
Trash collection was suspended at 9 a.m. Residents who did not receive service will have trash picked up on their next regular collection day.
