The sun is apparently on hiatus for much of the last week of spring on Long Island.

Rain is the word of the work week. It's in the forecast Monday through Thursday. Thunderstorms are also possible on Tuesday.

The wet weather pattern is being caused by a nearly stationary front zone, according to AccuWeather.
