SAT Testing at Commack High School
Students are reminded to bring photo identification, two No. 2 pencils and a calculator.

It's a nerve-wrecking day in Commack as students take the SAT at the High School.
The SAT exam is a three part aptitude test that consists of a math, reading and writing section. Students will also take SAT subject test, that may be required for college admission.Â
The SAT is made up of 10 sections with a total test time of 3 hours and 45 minutes.
It includes:
- A 25-minute essay
- Six 25-minute sections (mathematics, critical reading and writing)
- Two 20-minute sections (mathematics, critical reading and writing)
- A 10-minute multiple-choice writing section
For students who wish to better their scores after today's test, Commack High School will be offering Kaplan test preparation classes, starting in November for the March 8 exam. Click here for more information.
