Applebee's Fundraiser Targets Fight Against Pediatric Cancer
Funds raised throughout July will benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Alexβs Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is teaming up with Applebeeβs throughout July in an effort to raise funds to help cure pediatric cancer.
Participating Applebeeβs in Nassau and Suffolk counties will raise funds throughout July in support of ALSF by donating $.25 from each lemonade sold (all varieties) through their Summer Squeeze promotion to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Applebees has two locations near Deer Park and North Babylon: 1251 Deer Park Ave. in North Babylon and 600-A N. Wellwood Ave. in Lindenhurst.

In addition, Applebeeβs guests will also have an opportunity to donate to ALSF through the purchase of paper lemons to be displayed on the restaurantsβ walls in support of childhood cancer research.Β Β
This yearΒ marks the ninth consecutive year that Applebeeβs franchisees have supported Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Applebee's raised a record $500,000 in fundraising proceeds generated in 2012 and more thanΒ $3.2 million has raised since 2005.Β

This year, more than 700 restaurants nationwide, including Applebeeβs on Long Island will raise funds to help cure pediatric cancer with a goal of reaching the $5 million mark in funds raised.
βWeβre encouraging people to cool down while helping a good cause,β says Marc Prince, Director of Operations for the Long Island Applebeeβs restaurants.
