Assembly Teaches Deer Park Students to Achieve Goals

On Sept. 25, students at Deer Park’s Robert Frost Middle School gathered to see “Dream, Dare, Do!” in the school’s gymnasium, according to the school district.

The assembly by Camfel Productions is known for their character education and anti-bullying programs. Using three screens of visuals and music the production gave what the school called "emotionally direct views into the lives and challenges of real peers to teach effective lessons on personal responsibility."

“Dream, Dare, Do!” helps students in identify their dreams, overcome obstacles, set goals and take responsibility for achieving their dreams.

“Stand up for everyone, take what you’ve seen here and adopt it into your own life,” presenter, Isaac Ayala, told the seventh-graders. “Dare to stand up for the dreams of others.”

The program dealt with real-life challenges faced by the seventh-graders including peer pressure, cyberbullying and encourged them to make positive choices, and the need for work, focus and effort.

“Goals don’t come easy,” Frost Associate Principal Gary Ramonetti said. The school said that he also urged the students to avoid negative people and not to stop others from achieving their own goals.
