Babylon Students Create Colorful Heartwork for Valentine's Day
Distributed artwork to seniors with love.

During the week prior to Valentineβs Day, art students from Marion G. Vedder Elementary School in the North Babylon School District visited the North Babylon Senior Center to create heart art for the communityβs senior citizens.
Under the direction of art teacher Lisa Gregorek, the students created oil pastel hearts and distributed them to the senior citizens, some of whom worked with paint to create their own Valentineβs Day designs. The project was art-history based and aligned to the class lesson about pop artist Jim Dine.
