Could Local Voting Lead To A New Parliament Place Playground?

North Babylon resident highlights contest on Facebook, with a new playground for local elementary school in her thoughts.

Parliament Place Elementary School has been the site of vandalism in recent months and parents have become increasingly concerned about the safety and condition of the school’s fields and playgrounds.

On the Friends of Parkdale Civic Association Facebook page, local resident Melisa A. Stolberg-Beck posted a link to the Healthy Playground Makeover Sweepstakes.

β€œHey people of North Babylon, as many know, Parliament Place playground is pitiful and the (contest) gives us a chance for a school to win a new playground by just voting,” Stolberg-Beck wrote on Facebook. β€œIt’s easy and free and doesn’t take but two minutes. Please help a fellow school out.”
