Customer Killed In Shooting Inside Wyandanch Convenience Store

The 38-year-old was fatally shot inside the store on Merritt Avenue early Saturday, according to police.

WYANDANCH, NY — A customer was killed in a shooting inside a convenience store in Wyandanch early Saturday, according to Suffolk police.

Darnell Snell, 38, of Brentwood was inside Wyandanch Convenience Store on 315 Merritt Avenue when he was shot by another man inside the store at 12:45 a.m., police said.

The shooter then ran away. No arrests have been made as of Monday.

Snell was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.
