Deer Park High School Advances to Quarterfinals on MSG Varsity's "The Challenge"
Competition will air on Monday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Deer Park High School has moved on to the regional quarterfinals of βThe Challengeβ on MSG Varsity.Β
The team will square off against William Floyd High School in an episode that will air on Monday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 14 on Cablevision.
Deer Park is joined by seven other schools from Suffolk County as they try to qualify for the Tri-State Championship Playoffs.
In the competition, teams are tested on their knowledge of history, arts and literature, current events, math, and science in front of a live studio audience.

The Deer Park High School team is made up of John Pfundstein, who serves as captain, along with Andreas Stamatakis, Jessica Curry, Tyler Doogan, and Alternates Stephanie Lopez and Jordan Rios. Matthew Murphy serves as academic advisor.
Participating schools advance through a series of elimination rounds, with one school in each region being crowned regional champion and winning $2,500 for their school. The winning teams from each region go on to βThe Challengeβ Championship where they square off in a Tri-State Showdown. The school awarded the title of Tri-State Champion will receive $10,000 in prize money and each student participating in the final βChallengeβ Championship game will receive $500.
