Deer Park High School senior athletes Jarett Bonser and Oliver Tavares signed National Letters of Intent on Nov. 15. All-League defenseman Bonser will play Division I lacrosse for Loyola University in Baltimore next fall. This year's homecoming king, Bonser also served as All-Division quarterback of the school's varsity football team. "I like the campus and felt comfortable about choosing the school," he said regarding Loyola, where he plans to major in finance. All-League shortstop Tavares will play baseball for Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey next fall, where he will major in business. In addition to his career at Deer Park, he played for the East Coast Jays travel team. "I felt comfortable with the coaching staff and it seemed like the right place for me," said Tavares of FDU.
