Deer Park HS Boys Basketball Team Finds Major Success
The boys basketball team went 5-0 in League IV play and 6-2 overall on route to earning their seventh league championship since 2012.

During the winter season in February, the Deer Park High School boys basketball team was a major success, going 5-0 in League IV play and 6-2 overall on route to earning their seventh league championship since 2012. They also qualified for the Suffolk County playoffs for the 12th season in a row.

In individual accolades, freshman Preston Edmead was named All-County and League IV Player of the Year, sophomore Anthony Daley was named All-League and Conference 2 All-Tournament, junior Kyle Jefferson and senior Jalen Van Dorn were named All-League, and Van Dorn was named Academic All-County. Senior captain Matt Myrick was honored with the Spirit Award, captain Nahleaj Delbridge was honored with the Coaches Award, and Jefferson was honored with the Sportsmanship Award.
The Falcons return 13 lettermen from this yearβs squad and have already begun working on their 2021-2022 campaign.
