Deer Park HS Student Honored by County's Anti-Bias Task Force

Isaiah Edwards was honored by Suffolk County's Anti-Bias Task Force for his volunteer work with children with special needs.

Isaiah Edwards, a Deer Park High School student, was recently honored with an achievement certificate at the Suffolk County Anti-Bias Task Force’s annual awards convocation for his dedication to volunteer work with the town’s special needs children.

The Anti-Bias Task Force is an organization that works to combat racism and prejudice in the county’s communities. Co-chaired by Reverend JoAnn Barrett and Rabbi Dr. Steven A. Moss, the Task Force is organized under the auspices of Suffolk County Executive Steven Bellone.

The awards ceremony was held at the W.H. Rogers County Legislature Building in Smithtown. Edwards is considering a career as a teacher.
