Deer Park High School’s ELA students continued the β€œBook Love” initiative by promoting reading with younger students from John F. Kennedy Intermediate School. Over a six-week period, juniors in Teresa Greco-Tarello’s class met virtually with fifth graders in Thomas Fitzmaurice’s and Nina Ragone’s classes to jointly read and discuss student-chosen books. The β€œBook Buddies” talked about characters they loved, literary concepts and social-emotional lessons. Please refer to the attached press release for more information.
