Diocese Announces Leadership For New Deer Park Catholic School
A head of schools and principal have been appointed to Our Lady of Guadalupe, which will offer K-8 education starting this fall.

DEER PARK, NY βThe Diocese of Rockville Centre announced the leadership for the new dual-language Catholic school that is opening this fallon the grounds of SS Cyril and Methodius School building in Deer Park and Our Lady of Providence Regional School in Central Islip.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School of Long Island will offer kindergarten through eighth grade education. Valerie Serpe, Ph.D., has been named to the new Head of School position and Gloria Joanne Kramer, Ed.D. will be the principal of Our Lady of Guadalupeβs East Campus, in Central Islip. Dr. Serpe is the principal of Saint Thomas the Apostle School in West Hempstead.
βOur Lady of Guadalupe will serve as a beacon of hope for Catholic education on Long Island,β Dr. Serpe said in a statement from the diocese.

The diocese also said they plan to eventually grow both campuses to full capacity. The new school will offer an extended school day, an after-school program and a dual-language immersion program.
