Girl Scouts Beautify Babylon's Vision of Hope Garden
Together with the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition, the scouts cleaned up and planted flowers in the garden, located in Town Hall Park.

Members of Girl Scout Troop #382 and the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition were recently recognized for their work in beautifying the Vision of Hope Garden, located on the southeast corner of Town Hall Park.
The scouts joined volunteers to clean up and plant flowers at the Breast Cancer Bow area of the garden and were thanked by Babylon Town Councilman Tom Donnelly and State Assemblyman Robert Sweeney for their hard work and presented with honorary certificates.
The beautification effort was undertaken in conjunction with Global Youth Service Day, a worldwide celebration of community service and civic engagement. Past projects have included helping non-profit organizations through food drives and monetary donations, collecting food for the needy, visiting local senior citizens centers, making holiday baskets for hospitalized children, conducting community clean-up effort and assisting local veterans groups in need.
