Patch: What is your equipment of choice when out taking photos?

Asia Lee: I donβt have equipment that is really over the top. I have a digital SLR but also use my iPhone a great deal. The only time you really need a lot of equipment is when youβre shooting in low light.
Patch: Do you always have a camera with you?
AL: I always have my iPhone and I like to post an image each day on Facebook, Instagram or Brabble. But I usually do have a camera in the car, but sometimes I feel the iPhone takes better pictures. I also donβt plan to go out and take pictures. I wake up early before the sunrise and think about a good place to go and shoot.
Patch: How did you get your start in photography?
AL: I got into photography by accident. My girlfriend was taking a course at Half Hollow Hills High School East and I went out a bought a camera. I guess it was really by accident. Iβm also creative but I donβt have any formal training.
Patch: This is your first exhibit. What made you do it?
AL: Friends and family. I enjoy shooting rather than having a public display. For me itβs a bit scary. I know I post [photos] everyday, but the fear for me is that itβs like Iβm opening up my soul. I donβt like to be center of attention either. Itβs a bit like stage fright.
Patch: But the positive feedback you receive must make you feel good.
AL: Honestly it makes me want to give [the images] to them (laughs). Iβm told so many times not to give the photos away or post on Facebook. But thatβs my nature. I enjoy it and it makes other people happy.
