Man Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Car In Deer Park
The pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a car Tuesday night. He died from his injuries early Wednesday.
DEER PARK, NY — A pedestrian died from his injuries after being struck by a car in Deer Park Tuesday night, according to Suffolk police.
A 19-year-old West Islip man was driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra westbound on Bay Shore Road, when his car struck a man in the roadway, near the intersection of Washington Avenue, at 9:30 p.m.
The man, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with critical injuries. He died from his injuries early Wednesday, police confirmed.

The driver was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
