Man Shot In Leg During Robbery In Wyandanch

The 22-year-old was seriously injured after being shot during a robbery early Saturday.

WYANDANCH, NY β€” A man was shot in the leg during a robbery in Wyandanch early Saturday, according to Suffolk police. Police responded to the intersection of Irving Avenue and Jackson Street after a 911 caller reported that a man was shot as he was being robbed at 2:30 a.m.

Officers arrived and found a 22-year-old Central Islip man with two gunshot wounds to his right leg. The victim, whose identity is being withheld, was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
