Man Stabbed Outside Deer Park Deli, Arrest Made: Police

DEER PARK, NY — A man was arrested for stabbing another man outside a Deer Park deli Friday morning, according to Suffolk police.

Following a verbal altercation, 46-year-old Lenwood Williams, of Deer Park, stabbed a 37-year-old West Islip man outside the Deer Park Deli on 183 Bay Shore Road, at 9:35 a.m., police said.

Officers responded and arrested Williams at the scene, police said.

The West Islip man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Detectives charged Williams with second degree assault. He will be held overnight at the First Precinct and scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
