Man Threatened To Shoot People At Local Unemployment Office: PD
A 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly calling a local NY State Department of Labor and threatening to shoot people, police said.
NORTH BABYLON, NY β A North Babylon man was arrested on Friday for threatening to shoot people at the local unemployment office, according to Suffolk police.
An employee at the New York State Department of Labor received a phone call before 12 p.m. from a man who threatened to shoot everyone inside the office, police said.
The employee reported the incident to police, giving them a recording of the phone call during which the man who made the threat identified himself, police said.

Following an investigation, 30-year-old Jahman Nichols was arrested at his North Babylon home at 5 p.m.
He was charged with making a terroristic threat and an active First District Court warrant.

He was held overnight at the First Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
