Green Gets 12 Points in Spurs Game 1 Win
Former North Babylon hoops star helps San Antonio grab victory in NBA Finals.

North Babylonβs Danny Green played in his first NBA Finals game Thursday night for San Antonio and had a significant role in the Spurs Game 1 win.
Green had 12 points, all from 3-point range, to help the Spurs top the defending NBA Champion Miami Heat 92-88. The win gives San Antonio a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 is Sunday night at Miami.

With San Antonio holding a four point lead late in the fourth quarter, Green hit a 3-pointer to extend the Spurs lead to 88-81 with 2:12 remaining.
In a post-game interview, Green said, βLuckily they missed some shots and we got a couple of good offensive possessions and executed.β

In addition to his 12 points, Green played 34:08 and had five rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot.
