NORTH BABYLON, NY β The new Uncle Giuseppe's in North Babylon is officially open for business. The Italian supermarket chain opened last week at the former King Kullen at the Sunset Plaza on 112 Deer Park Ave. joining Buffalo Wild Wings, Game Stop, LA Fitness, Starbucks, Petsmart, and more.

The highly-anticipated new store offers a variety of groceries, a bakery, deli, prepared foods, and more.
This is the seventh Long Island supermarket for the chain, which has locations in East Meadow, Massapequa, Melville, Port Jefferson Station, Port Washington, and Smithtown.

In 2019, Stop & Shop announced that it was acquiring all King Kullen supermarkets across Long Island. Stop & Shop will take over King Kullen's 32 supermarkets, five Wild by Nature stores, and the company's corporate office in Bethpage.
A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new store has been scheduled for Jan. 8.

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
