North Babylon Boy Scout Troop 399 Celebrates Scout Sunday

Mass at St. Paul's Reformed Church in North Babylon celebrates the birthday of the Boy Scouts.

Scout Sunday was observed at St. Paul's Reformed Church in North Babylon on February 3, 2019. The members of Boy Scout Troop 399 attended church together with their families and fulfilled one of the basic principles of the Scout Law which is "A Scout is Reverent."

Boy Scouts of America was incorporated on February 8, 1910. In the 100+ years that has followed, Scouting units have celebrated its birthday on a day of religious observance during the month of February close to or on the February 8th anniversary date.

Boy Scout Troop 399 meetings are held each Thursday evening that schools are open at 7:30 p.m. in the Marion G. Vedder Elementary School cafeteria. For more information, you may visit Troop 399's website at http://www.northbabylontroop399.mytroop.us Troop 399 is a Boy Scout Troop based in North Babylon, NY and a member of the Sagtikos District of BSA Suffolk County Council. It is proudly sponsored by the North Babylon Lions Club. Troop 399 has been serving the community since it was chartered in 1975, turning boys into leaders and giving families the opportunity to participate in Scouting for more than 40 years.
