
NORTH BABYLON, NY β A North Babylon High School senior was named a Commended Student for the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Autumn Cullinan is one of 34,000 students nationwide recognized for their "exceptional academic promise."
Commended students are among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who enter the annual competition.

This yearβs scores are based on the 2019 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
In honor of her achievement, Autumn received a Letter of Commendation from the school, as well as the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, or NMSC.

"Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success," a statement from the NMSC read. "These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational
excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational
opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success."
