North Babylon Students Honor Veterans

Vedder Elementary students and high school musicians take part in ceremony

Students at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School and standout musicians at North Babylon High School honored local heroes during a patriotic Veterans Day ceremony.
Veterans from across the North Babylon community attended the program, which featured a variety of musical performances. A rendition of β€œGod Bless America” was performed by the elementary students under the direction of music teacher Ms. Dellosso, while high school All-State vocalist and drum major Nicole Gonzalez sang the β€œStar Spangled Banner” and trumpet officer Kris Krupski played taps for the troops under the direction of Frank Rizzo.
The performances served as a way to honor local veterans and thank them for their selfless service to the country.
