Two students from Parliament Place Elementary School in the North Babylon Union Free School District are being recognized in the Suffolk County Be Pool Smart Poster Contest. Lauren Iudica was named the contest winner for District 17 and Leila Moncayo was the runner-up.
The Suffolk County Be Pool Smart Poster Contest invites elementary students from across the county to design a poster that features tips on how to be safe this summer around swimming pools. Suffolk county legislators then choose outstanding posters to be named winners within the districts they represent.
