Police ID Man Who Died After Being Struck By Car In Deer Park
The 51-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition this week after being struck by a car and later died from his injuries, police said.
DEER PARK, NY — Suffolk police identified the man who was killed after being struck by a car in Deer Park earlier this week.
On Sunday, police announced that 51-year-old Juan Yat Simar, of Deer Park, has been identified as the man who was critically injured after being struck by a car Bay Shore Road near the intersection of Washington Avenue Tuesday night.
After the crash, Simar was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with critical injuries, police said. He died from his injuries the following day.
